My PhD research on Musician's Focal Dystonia
It’s been a while since I posted here but I think I had a good excuse…
I’ve been working on my doctoral thesis day and night for the past year, and successfully defended it just a few short weeks ago. My external examiner was Professor Eckart Altenmüller - a name I’m sure many of you heard. He is a German neurologist based in Hannover at the Institute of Music Physiology and Musicians’ Medicine and he has been working with musicians with MFD for over 30 years. Chatting with him about my work was a wonderful experience and I passed my examination without corrections. This is me right after I finished the Zoom call (my face mirroring the complex combination of myriad emotions I felt):
The even better news is that you can access my work - all 320 pages of it - via the White Rose thesis depository. If you follow this link, you should be able to download my work.
If you have any questions about it, please do not hesitate to get in touch!
